Someone was quoted $800-$900. You likely will also need larger injectors (from Z06) and a larger in-tank fuel pump like the Z06 or Caddy CTS-V. Squash makes great in-tank fuel systems that are bulletproof.

I once talked about running E85 + methanol spray in my EB Flex. Torrie MacPhail who was tuning it told me I needed 50% more fuel capacity to make it completely safe, and not run lean.

Good Luck!

As Bob said, this is certainly not to be taken lightly. There are vendors here with custom fuel systems that will suit your needs should you want to move in the E85 direction.

Will the z06 mechanical pump actually fit with the stock lt1 intake?? Heard the intake needs a little material taken away??

The z06 pump runs around 2900 psi vs the lt1 at 217x psi. I thought about playing with just and increase pressure at the pump in the tune and see if that gained me anything. Some math shows the lt1 injectors would flow very similiar to the lt4 at the z06 fuel pressure, be interesting to see

After proper installation, the LT4 pump fit the same as the LT1 pump did, and allowed for the neoprene cover to fit correctly over the top of it. The intake manifold also had no clearance issues, and didn't require any changes.

I have been told of only one instance where a shop has needed to modify an intake manifold for clearance concerns, but I have yet to ascertain why that was needed. I have spoken with all other members here who have done the swap, and we've had no issues at all with either the installation or use of the LT4 pump.

The LT4 pump will ensure you are maxing out the LT1 fuel rail and injectors, so when you're tuning for delivery, you can be sure you're actually going to get that delivery, rather than run out of fueling. To get fueling over and above that, you need to move to the LT4 rails and injectors, which of course require a retune.

For those needing even more fueling, there are custom systems available that can solve the issue of overworking the LPFP, etc. though that is outside of the scope of this thread.
I just posted this in the 700hp ECS thread. Thought it might answer your questions...

There is 2 hard lines that you buy with the pump that bolt directly up to the lt1 rails

The T-line stays - you only need to replace a single line. Part number on the pump line 12618337, and the replacement gasket is 12623308.

I would highly suggest speaking to someone like Joe@CPR about your needs and desires regarding your specific E85 fuel setup.

It is incredibly easy to overwork the LPFP and HPFP with E85, let alone at higher horsepower levels usually associated with boost.

The LT4 pump, rails, and injectors may very well still not be able to handle what you have in mind, as the in-tank LPFP runs out of steam.

That's Jeremy Formato (a well-known/respected vendor here), and he's done work to the fuel system.

I'm not debating the use of E85 - I'm trying to give you additional information that several other vendors have had to go through a lot of trial and error to give us.

There are at least three E85 full fuel system upgrades for those that want to run high-HP numbers on straight E85 and boost. Joe has a good thread on power levels, and it will answer your questions more thoroughly.
