Help! Anyone else getting this power steering issue??
Hey Gang,
I had a A&A Supercharger installed and now I am getting a Power Steering Service issue and the power steering actually goes out. Any ideas why? Is it related at all the to supercharger? I know these are electric power steering but I'm struggling with the connection if any.
Turn the car off and start up power steering comes back but you can cut hard in park and it trips power steering off over and over.
Maybe its dumb luck as well. Thoughts please?

There should be a DTC stored may or may not be related to super charger. Super charger may end powertrain warranty if you take it to a dealer. Good luck.
IMO, not related to S/C. Saying that because I had the same problem. It occurred randomly during a drive. By that I mean sometimes it would happen after 10 miles, sometimes 45 miles. GM ended up replacing the rack assembly. Recall it had something to do with the electronic control module not being properly secured. At the time(last August), GM admitted that they were "aware" of the problem but it was "rare." no prob after rack replacement (6500 miles later).
i am having a similar problem. it seems to occur after running for 15mins or more and kicks off usually during a hard turn. so my delima is taking to dealer. power steering should not fall under powertrain. i will have figure that battle if this is the problem. thanks the info!!

no codes last time i had the shop check. but yeah the last thing i wanted to taking back to dealer a month after adding the supercharger! thanks for the info!
