PTM on the fly...?

PTM on the fly...?

I'm dealing with this:
While driving...
-turn control **** to go to Track - double push the center button and it does not access the Wet - Perf Trac 1 Dry ....etc
Should I be able to access them while driving ?
While driving....
-in Sport I push and hold center button to disable Traction Control & StabilTrac - the TC light turns on but the StabilTrac does not - after holding down for a period of time, the TC light goes out
Frustrated I pull over and put transmisin in Park while car is running & still no success
I shut car off...wait a minute or so...start car and while parked, I am able to shut off TC & StabilTrac -- I go to Track Mode& &double click the center button & Wet - Perf Trac 1 Dry etc displays....meaning "it works" !
Then while driving after double clicking the center button I am able to toggle in and out of the different modes, Wet, Dry - Perf Trac 1 etc....but once I move to Sport I cannot shut TC & StabilTrac and if I go to Track, double click the center button & cannot access Wet - Perf Trac1 etc....
Does the above sound "normal" ?
Any input on experience of this is appreciated

Yes you can access all of them while driving.
Give it a bit more of a pause in pushing the TC button after putting it in Track.
Rapidly pushing it will not work, push it once, wait, push it again.

Thanks for your advice....i'm a frustrated mess with it

Yes...i know....PTM only available in Track Mode - i only seem to get to PTM when parked after going in to Track Mode, double clicking the button and selecting the mode i want (Wet - Dry Perf Trac 1 etc)..but while driving it is not possible
- i was pointing out that while in Sport the disable feature (pressing and holding the button for both lights to come on) of TC and StabilTrac was not working as it should.....i press and hold, the TC light comes on, but the StabilTrac light does not...then after maybe 20+ seconds the TC light goes out
like i mentioned, i'm a little frustrated right now with it....but hopefully i'll find my way thru....the dealer is not much help at all....it all seems too simple to me, but when i hit the buttons, i'm not getting the response i should.....
