Default Upgrading without voiding warranty

Hey Guys,

I know this is kind of an oxymoron.... but what upgrades can I install on my 15 Z51 C7 without voiding the warranty?

Im ok with tuning as long as I can put the default tune in for when the car has to go in for its oil changes and what not. The car is being used as a DD as well and I plan on keeping it for a very long time as the DD.

I also don't know too much about modding cars because I'm too afraid of voiding the warranty, so please bear with me

I don't usually post just to say this, but search or read through this forum and the general discussion forum. There are lots of threads on this subject.

Here's one very recent one: https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...-warranty.html

search on words like warranty, void, mods, tune and you should find several threads

I have been searching for a couple of weeks at this point.
But I'm just not finding anything worthwhile. Thats why I wanted to ask you guys directly.
Ive seen headers on down increases power a good bit. But I'm not sure if I want to spend over 1000 on just the long tube headers as that seems to be the standard price and thats a bit of a difficult mod to remove if you have to take it in to the dealership.
Ive seen some people go with a CAI and that doesn't seem to do much.
Some tunes i have seen claim x amount of HP gain... but only actually z.

I will continue to search though. Thanks for search ideas.

Check out the Halltech Cold Air Intake links. The dyno results are impressive, so CAIs can do a lot.

Here is another similar link with a few responses: https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...-warranty.html

Ported throttle body is OK I guess. Check Weapon X.

the problem with this is that its such a grey area when it comes to mod. Some get away with more than others.

truth is. anything that adds NOTICEABLE power will either put you in a grey area, or void your warranty.

If you wanna be safe. i would advise putting new mufflers on.

if you wanna get into a grey area. meaning you might be ok. You can add mid length headers from ARH with cats. Also a diablo intune with intake.

It all depends on the dealership. Some dealerships are mod friendly, while others are not. It can also depend on the relationship you may have with your shop, if they know you and you always get your service done by them.

They could possibly give you a break on the mods, but it all depends. May not be a exact answer to a yes or no question, but it gives you an idea of what it can come down too.
