Need some help with rear ball joint removal
Lucky me snapped a rear wheel stud on my 1800 mile 2015. Since the dealer route would just be a pain I thought I'd tackle it myself.
Idk what the deal is with these blue studs but my torque wrench was set to 90 ft lbs and at no where near that it just popped. In hindsight I should have went to dealer...
Anyways I can't get the lower ball joint to go free. Tried hitting knuckle with hammer with jack supporting, nothing. I have the axle out of the way and this is the last thing I need to do to get the hub out of the car and get the damn stud fixed.
So now I have a completely disabled car that's under warranty....due to a $0.15 wheel stud. Nearly ill

Can you get a pickle fork into the area the fork is made to separate the joint.
Ask someone you know that works on cars or go to harbor freight and buy a cheap one they also have forks that will work in air chisels they don't need to be hit.
Just be careful of the dust boot on the ball joint they tear easy.
