Anyone replace all the factory speakers for better sound? I really do not want to add boxes to the rear, new wiring and amps ect but if I could significantly improve the sound quality with a full set of swap in speaker replacements I might be interested. Done this in other vehicles and been pretty pleased. Just looking for input from anyone that has done it.....Or not.

I have the Bose system with the sub in the back.
I too would like to replace speakers but don't know what to use. I have a c-6 convert. Not much sound quality with the top down. any ideas?
Not easy guys. Bose speakers are 1 ohm and no aftermarket speakers will not work with the Bose 1 ohm amps. Most after market speakers are 4 ohm. You may find a handful of 2 ohm speakers but know of no other companies producing 1 ohm drivers.

The 8" sub in the rear is 2 ohms per coil (dual voice coil). I am adding the 2LT sub to my 1LT with another amp. I also do not want any boxes or amps cluttering the hatch area. The sub could be wired in series for 4 ohm. I would not run it 1 ohm with a 1 ohm stable amp as the sub cannot handle a lot of power (small but efficient magnet, non vented) or it will fry the voice coils. I would recommend not more than 75 watts per coil.
I agree the entire system would have to be replaced with standard speakers and a better amp to do it correctly and for an overall higher quality system.
