Here are some independent results lashway motorsports did on our headers we make right here in Az. And Higg's the before and after numbers from the other local place doesn't surprise me being a little "off", they are known for interesting dyno tactic's locally
I already know everything you are saying. I was simply asking for gains based on facts.
I have headers and tunes in all my vehicles other than my 15' Vette.
Trying to decide if headers, tune and perhaps more are worth the cost as well as voiding my warranty.
I believe that is what the founder of this thread was also asking. Personally I could care less about sound, or whether one kind of header or axle-back exhaust sounds better than another. I don't make my performance or spending decisions based on "Sound Fluff".
If I couldnt drive no better than that he needed to lose the race.
Absotively Posolutely!!!! He made 4 runs and that was his best time. It was my WORST ET. Think it was his first time at a strip and car was a stick. I was hooking up great due to Nitto O5R's on the front. Most rear drive cars were really complaining about the track conditions. Ran against a 07' Z06 earlier. Had him by 2 lengths at 1/8. He beat me by 4 or 5 with a trap speed of like 122 against my 106.
It is the best sounding car I've ever heard. I thought my old C6 Z-06 sounded good... These C7's with headers sound amazing. I couldn't care less if they didn't an a single horsepower, buuuuut that's the bonus, they do.
Exactly why I'm getting headers and an X pipe.. The sound baby! I already have a supercharger for power :P
I guess I'm the guy who doesn't care what it makes on the dyno but its the drag strip that really tells you how much HP it makes. They will make a little more power which mine did. I think it was 17 hp with me tuning it. But at the track it went from 11.58@119 to a 11.22@124. However I ran a couple weeks ago and ran an 11.12@125, on another pass when it hung the shift in 1-2 and 2-3 it ran 11.23@126.28. So down track it makes more power then it showed on the dyno. Don't let these dyno number screw with your head, they are not always a factor to what happens at the track. If I were just running it on the street and not drag racing I'd leave the stock exhaust on it and just do E85 since its the best bang for the buck.

Ive heard twice from 2 diff people that the headers are not givibg these cars any significant gains...is it true and does the stock manifolds flow that good??? Share yalls opinions
I added a Borla Catless X Pipe, American Racing headers with high flow cats, MSD intake, Vararam cold air intake, a Tony Mamo ported throttle body and I pulled the heads and had Katech port them. After having the car dyno tuned it put down only 458 to the wheels. A bit disappointed with the gain. 2014 C7 A6

I just got 440 to the wheels with TS 2" headers, X pipe and a Holley CAI. Maybe find a better tuner? I'd be a bit upset with my tuner with those gains on those mods.
