Default ESC Supercharger and meth kit

Just reading some of the threads. I dropped off my C7 last week for a S/C and meth kit. No other mods . Should I be concerned about the motor if it comes in at 625 to 650 RWHP?

Do you have an Automatic? Are you using a restrictor plate on the S/C? With no restrictor plate and an Auto, I think I'd expect 625-650. On an M7 with no restrictor I'd expect 645-670. If you use long tube headers and no CATS, expect 25-40 additional HP

Really depends on what head unit and if using a restrictor plate.

This will be about tune and restrictor plate. The meth enables you to go to 8PSI vs. 7PSI restrictor plate and a more aggressive tune. I will defer to Chris/Doug on if you can totally remove the restrictor plate on 93 octane and without headers and potentially fueling improvements.

I would suspect with 8PSI plate you would be well over 600RWHP may even 650HP depending tune and meth. I did 550RHWP on an A6 with just SC and 7PSI plate.

Should be good until you have a lean problem. The pistons are the weak point in these cars. But again with the meth & how the tuner to use the meth for safety only.

Hope you don't mind me chiming in here too as I will be going with same setup. esc s/c, meth and I plan on having 21st tune it. I'm in a 2015 M7 Z51. I do not plan on going with headers just yet but not 100% on that. Only reason I wouldn't be is I'm trying to budget this much as I can for now.

1) Is it pretty standard that if you are going meth that you should run without the restrictor plate?

2) Will I be safe with 650 rwhp on stock everything else?

I run my car pretty hard but I do not trap it nor will I be doing a lot of 1st gear standing punches as I want to play it safe with rear end. I will however probably take it to the 1/4 miles once or twice just to see what it can do. Otherwise it will be a street car for fun and a few track days here and there.

No plate, colder plugs, 100% single nozzle Meth injection and ARH headers with cats and x pipe. Made 696 in 90+ degrres, 9.9 lbs boost. It should push 10-10.5 in better conditions. Tuned by Doug at ECS.

Default Tires for that much power

OP here. Now with the extra power 625 ish RWHP, M7 1lt and no Z51 package, can I upgrade to 19 front and 20 rear and go with a 305 tire in the rear vs. the 285's ? Has anyone gone with wider rears and a rim with offset so you dont stick out of the tire well.

A few replies to you guys...all based off my research through other threads and this information was only taken from responses from actual shop representatives such as Ron at Vengeance and Doug from ECS....

To the OP's original question, YES you should be safe running around that WHP range. I would stay away from using Launch Control completely though once the car is supercharged on a stock transmission. If you do any hard starts, just be sure to keep RPMs low enough to stay out of the boost to remain safe on the transmission (which you can do on a centri SC, not so much on a roots style blower). The motor should have no problems in that whp range. It is usually not till over 700whp that you really need to start worrying about the motor, in which case the Pistons are really the only weak link. Those can be replaced by a set of Vengeance Forged drop in pistons. But not necessary until prob 750whp and up. Also, once you pass 700whp you would probably have to start worrying about fuel delivery. But as long as you are below 700, you should be fine on stock everything else. SHOULD be!

CoolShoesWalkin... to answer your 1st question (see above for the answer to your 2nd question), you can still run your car with the restrictor plate and the meth. The meth is being used for safety against a low octane and/or to advance timing in the tune for more hp. Doesn't hurt to run meth with lower boost. However, if you do remove the restrictor plate to obtain a higher boost level, you will def want the meth there so that you can advance the timing enough and have the octane to match the boost levels.

And to the last post....Yes! People have went up to 305's on 20's in the rear, some have even done 315's (although they stick out a bit). Just make sure you have the right offsets on the wheels you order. Ben @ WeaponX really knows his stuff in this area!

Hope this all was helpful!

Default ESC supercharger and meth kit

I'm running 19's in the rear with 295 Toyo proxes r888 R compound tires.

If you want to get some serious tires, I recommend going with 18" wheels. You have way more options in that size.

With the 8psi restrictor and a meth kit I would say you will be right around the 600hp mark.

Default Picked up today from ECS

So here we go. 2015 C7 Stingray, M7. Had ECS install S/C and meth kit. Tune done by Doug at ECS. Car pulled 686 RWHP this afternoon. No other mods beside S/C and meth.

Drove car home from ECS approximately 1.5 hour drive. All I can say is wow and WTF, I can't believe this car is that fast, its almost scary fast. Great job Chris and Doug at ECS, I will definitely refer you to my C7 friends.
