How much of a PITA is this?

I planned on installing the s/c kit myself (esc) with a buddies help. Just curious if this alky kit is a pita? Reason I asked is because I called a shop to see how much they charge to install it and was surprised at the cost ($1,250). That's more then the kit...

The s/c kit install will be the biggest project I've ever done but I have gone over the instructions a few times and I feel confident about it and feel it shouldn't be too tough for me and a friend to knock out.

Not sure about the alky kit though.

Thanks

IMO, the supercharger is as easy, or easier then the meth kit on a C7. They take about the same amount of time. There is a lot of wiring to run and so on which just takes time, but it's worth it!!

If we can help call anytime.

Thanks Doug. Appreciate all the help here and over PM's you've given me.

What would be the hard part(s) of the meth kit? Just the time consuming wiring? If so that's not all that bad.

I installed an alky control kit myself on my ctsv back in December and it wasnt too bad. Hoping my c7 kit arrives this weekend so i can install it. I was a little intimidated the first go around because of the downsides of a system failure, but once i got into it it wasn't too bad. The hardest part was just wiring and making the install look clean with wire looms, soldering, heat shrinking, etc...

Nice, let me know how it goes. As for system failures is there anything to worry about beside just needing to rebuild the the pump and paying attention the LED?

The kit was solid, just keep an eye on the activation light like you mentioned and i would occasionally hit the test button on the controller at idle for a few seconds. That sprays 100% max flow and at idle the engine will start to die and which confirms its spraying correctly.

I was at first a bit intimidated on my install, say a wire comes loose or something and that causes a failure. Depending on how agressively tuned the car is a non working meth system (and not knowing that) could make for a really bad day!!
