Is it true that u cant use headers with cats with supercharger, the will burn out the stuff inside the cat????? And are highflow cats restrictive of hp,if so by how much hp
Yea it's somewhat possible, but you'll have to be running a crazy amount of boost for that to happen. Many many supercharged cars running realistic boost and have cats. I run cats and haven't had any issues.
There isn't a clear cut horsepower number to run cats or not. Kinda up to your personal preference on noise, smell, and or emissions.
If you're going to run some realistic and not 1000 hp car you'll be fine with cats.

But I wouldnt say the 1,k rwhp number. In my c5 was running over 1,k rwhp on a RHS 427 motor with a F1X with 22 psi of boost & cat burn out on it in under 4300 miles. I just unhooked & knock the insides out on them. They were also the LG high flow cats.
I know alot of guys running 600 & 700 plus HP with blowers have the cats with no problems at all...
Exactly. If he's NOT going to be running 1000 hp or something crazy near it then he'd be fine with cats.

Just telling him what happen to me man. Plus how soon the crap can happen to them. Plus I really never got into boost all the time also. But then again I dont know if the meth may have had something to do with it also with the higher boost.

I had a local shop install ARH headers and B&B Fusion exhaust.
I requested "Green" Cats. They called ARH and ARH installed GESI Cats.........below is a write-up from the Summit Performance Equipment website....
"Catalytic Converter, GESI Ultra High Output, 3.0 in. Slip Fit Inlet/Outlet, 7.0 in. Overall Length.....Converters are ideal for forced induction applications, with no loss of horsepower."
Yup, I spoke to Doug at ECS and just like the TSP high flow cats, ARH cats are similar. I asked Chris if I needed to worry spraying Meth and he said he would not worry so I'm not worried.

I am interested on how these things hold up.....
Just keep in mind that it's Methanol that causes the issues with cats, not that the car has a Supercharger

No worries unless you really beat the car then bets are off. Otherwise I have over 40 k on ARH's 1 7/8's and the cats look great. Just had the primary's Jet Hot coated so yes I just looked at my cats.
