Fixed! - Rear + Headliner Rattles

You probably already checked but make sure they didn't come off and get stuck in the car. If not, not sure if you can source those individually (the metal part that is). Either way, put foam tape on it before reinstalling even with new clips. Should solve your problem for good.

Thanks for the tip. I did check and they are not in the mounting holes so off to the dealer for me as Advance and Autozone don't sell them. And, yes I already have the foam tape in place.

Many places where trim can rub and cause squeaks and rattles. I posted a thread a while ago about the loose plastic welded window trim. If you see a small amount of white powder, that's a clue there is trim rubbing. The soft part of Velcro is my #1 fix.
I had to have someone drive my car while I laid down in the rear to find it. I used a rubber hose held to one ear like a stethoscope to pin point the location.
The last one had was a hard metal to metal rattle coming from in front of the passenger's area. In the dash area it seemed. Turn out to be a loose bolt on the strut brace that goes between the outer frame and engine cradle under the car. When installing the headers, had to remove the strut brace. These bolts can loosen after removal & re-installation, so its a good idea to add a little Loctite red.

My car is slowly turning into a rattle/squeak/chirping trap. It's driving me nuts. It's a double edged sword too, because the noises are intermittent and I can't pin point the source on every one, and I don't want the hatch interior taken apart. This might be my only course of action though. ugh.

I've carried it to the local dealer to fix a squeaks twice and both times it came back with more squeaking and rattles. The Stingray has more rattles than my 2007 Ford Edge and 2010 Hyundai Genesis Coupe combined.

I am going to resurrect this thread and ask a couple of questions. I have a 16 coupe and have a rattle that seems to come from the area around the right rear speaker/rear small side window. I notice it most of the time when I leave my garage. After several miles (6-8), it generally reduces, though I can still hear it on a large bump. I theorize that moving from the relatively cooler garage and then heating up, whatever is making the noise moves together and the noise goes away. By the time I get to the dealer, they don't hear any noise. If I press on the area of molding right where the hatch opens, it goes away.
Does this sound like the same rattle that the OP had? Suggestions to get the dealer to hear it?

I hope you guys have better luck. I now have a GM case number due to my squeak in the door. Been into the dealer 5 times with no luck. I'm trying to get the door replaced but they are resisting. The squeak is so bad my wife won't even ride in the car. Loosing patients real quick right now.

Here is a video I made for the fix of the passenger side window panel. The insulation of the all the side and rear panels helps reduce interior noise. I added a thicker type of insulation on the bulkhead behind the seats. This is a very important area to insulate not mentioned a lot.
