A BIG upgrade yesterday!! Added a Borla Atak Exhaust and Borla X-pipe!! I was able to buy this off a forum member who upgraded to a Z06! (Thanks Bob!) it only had 2000 miles on it, and Borla had just sent brand new Over the axle pipes with AFM actuators and new tips with NPP actuators (due to a known problem)

I was going to attempt to do this install myself on Jack Stands, but I thought better of it and had Scott Whipple of "Corvette Care" in Columbus, OH do the install..

The install took about 2.5 hours and I was watching the entire install as it was happening. Thanks Scott!!

Pros: Much deeper tone on idle, Cold start Bark is ridiculous!, Still a very deep bass muscle car tone but twice as loud as OEM NPP!, With NPP valves closed the sound quiets down nicely...Install was very straight forward, Love the Intercooled tips!, All bolt on!...In summary...Just Badass!!!

Cons: Alignment of Tips is just not right yet. Too wide of a gap between the two sets of pipes, so I will take back to Scott in a couple weeks and see if he can re-align...Also going to ask Borla about it...as I have seen other photos on other Stingray's with the same gap, and some that don't have it. Also need to alter the exhaust plate I was using to fit the new pipes...

Overall very happy with the upgrade and very glad I did it..not sure my neighbors are too happy...

FWIW...Here is a video of before and after...Pretty hard to tell from the video, but the difference is HUGE!

Given the way the mufflers bolt together, i dont think there is an adjustment to put them together more.

 

Whats with people not giving any revs on exhaust vids.

 

You need to get a video with the car pulling through the RPM range to let your viewers experience the full effect.

 

Ok. I get it. Lol. I will do another video this weekend.
