Default Jack stand point on a C7 ???

I have four 6 ton jack stands that have a good size "U" saddles and want to know if anyone has a solution to use the 4 "puck" points to net a secure lift. I will be installing headers, A&A kit and meth so it will need to be rock solid. Any ideas or should I just find other points around the suspension. I know I need to remove the steering rack and some other stuff so I'm concerned. Wish there was a jack stand to puck adapter!!!

EDIT:
No solid leads to my question so I fabricated my own. See post #18 for my solution!

Oh......might be time to get the thinking cap and start designing something to work on your specific jack stands. At least you will KNOW they will work.

C7Jake -- can you tell me which jack stands you use and the pads and where you purchased them? Your solution is very smart. Thanks. Frank

Looks like C7Jake just used standard jack stands with the standard "u" shaped prong and set his car down on the two red spots shown for the rear, and the green spots on the front (using the diagram shown above. My question for you is...If you plan on using the jacking puck pads to set the car on...then how do you plan on jacking the car up?? Just a question.

As a side note, if you really want the puck style stands, you can use the ESCO flat top jack stands such as these (they are rather pricey though)....

Looks like he set it on the front leg of the wishbone far from the red/green zone. Not a safe thing to do (setting it on a pivot point that doubles for and alignement point).
I think the red and green zones are hard points.

I would jack the whole back up first from purple zone then same for the front. These stand I have are huge and will require stair stepping.

BTW I do like the stand you posted and appreciate everyone's advice. Thanks guys!

Thanks for your thoughts on this. Haven't tried it yet, but was going to approach it the way the next writer/respondent suggests. Jacking on the hard points. Wasn't going to use the pucks. Need to buy a jack with a longer reach than the one I have now. Frank

Try http://www.reverselogic.us/ -- seems like they have what you are looking for. Let me know, as I have the same question about jack stand/puck adapter. Frank

Yeah, I like those extended pucks but I'd still need to grind the jack stand head to mate and even then if I'm banging and tugging to torque bolts to 200+ lb/ft and these stands being 24+ inches tall, I'd fear they cold slip off their hard point.

I think my plan is to custom grind the jack stand head and drill tap a bolt into the jack stand head to fit in the car's frame "puck" receiver.

That or may just take the whole ball of wax to Vengeance and pay them to do the install. I tend oscillate back and forth on which route to take.

Right -- last thing you want to do is pull the car off the jack stands. Happened to me once years ago with a cheap scissor jack in my youth! Not to be repeated. Frank

Yeah....In my personal opinion...it can be done on jackstands...but when it comes to the headers (as you stated), it is way safer to do the job with the car on a lift! I also wouldn't trust a set of jack stands.

Default Fabricated my own.

For lack of a better solution, I fabricated my own. Here's a before and after pic of the 6 ton jack stands. The bolt is 3 inches long and threads deep into the drilled/tapped head. Also the top piece fits snugly into the puck receiver on the C7 frame. It should be quite secure.
