Sprays into the intake manifold thru the PCV tube.
It is available at local auto parts stores for about $12. CRC is a trusted brand and looks promising. I will try some instead of the fuel system cleaners that mix with the gas and will not get to the top side of the intake valves.
I just completed cleaning the valves for a buddy's C7. Posted a DIY on the general discussions with pics. I used GM top engine cleaner, the CRC stuff was too runny to cling to the walls for me.
I well just leave it on, well be going in for the second oil change before I run on Nov 1st. I checked the amount of oil in the can yesterday at now about 1200 - 1500 miles, maybe at the most a 1/2 oz.
I swapped my intake manifold for one I ported so I took a photo of the valves. This is the clearest picture I was able to get. Notice the small lumps around the base of the stem. This is the start of coking. The car is 12,000 miles on it. The oily sheen is the CRC intake valve cleaner that I sprayed on the valve before I took the picture. Pretty good pic for an iPhone.
At around 5000 miles, I noticed a significant amount of oil from the Z51 dry sump tank puked into the intake manifold. I suppose this relates to the fact it was over filled. I installed an RX catch can about 1000 miles ago so it should reduce the oil going into the intake. The engine never shows that it's low on oil. So it's not burning it and I drive it pretty aggressively. No track time. Car runs great.
Do you plan to clean the intake valves using CRC intake valve cleaner to see if it removes the carbon build up?
BTW, is your catch can actual catching oil and other gunk?
I would guess if one is installed wrong, or a dealer can find a way to link the can. They might try. You never know in todays world.
I asked the service manager at an Austin AutoNation Chevy dealer this question and he said that adding a catch can would not void the warranty. he was very familiar with the coking situation due to directly injection.

You missed my point. If you install it wrong and you have problems because of it. How could a dealership help you out?
Yet everyone still wants to move here and our economy hits home runs all the time....where do you live?
They are coming here by the thousands everyday, yet they think we do everything wrong. They come here and want to do the same things that screwed up the place they came from, amazing!
