Wonder how it helps the on track cooling? Typically, the cooling fan is turned off once car speed hits 35 mph since the air speed coming in through the grille is faster than the fan blows the air.

Good point Bill, I am wondering, if the radiator is too small to begin with can a bigger fan help much?

what is the big deal. Anyone could have ordered it in the past as Z06 replacement part. I agree that its better to spend the money on replacing the OEM undersized radiator. Fans are good when the car is not moving.

Is there Chevrolet performance website? I heard so much about how the performance division will have cooling and performance components for the track and so far it's all talk unless I missing something.

GM seems to be releasing Z06 cooling pieces for Sting Rays and the Z51 as Approved accessories. That does 2 things 1 adding them doesn't effect warranty and 2 factory support if necessary without having to remove the "unapproved modifications using parts not intended for this model" oem parts. Now if they can just get the Z06 not to overheat..

Z06 1/4 vents for Z51 increase air flow to diff and trans coolers P/N 23373152 msrp 195.00

Both parts are supposed to be available now. You should be able to order it from local dealer. Because both were just released within the last week dealer. You may need to talk to parts manager with part numbers. Info should catch up in November.
