AC Compressor Replacement C7 Z06

AC Compressor Replacement C7 Z06
500 mile oil change and get told ac compressor seal is bad and green dye all over. Must have been true ac quit next day. Almost two weeks now still waiting for part. kept car didnt want it at dealer that long. My question is does cradle have to be lowered for compressor replacement or is there a shortcut that will work without disturbing the front end of my/banks very new car.

I'm fairly sure my compressor has gone out as well. I was quoted $2k for the replacement by a dealer; which seems very high. How much did it cost you?
