When I picked my car up it had Nitrogen in it. Been fine for the last 5000 miles, went to the track a few days ago here in Louisiana, ran a best of 11.7 @ 119 on a Z51 & A6 on the stock tires. Tire pressures always stay at the same pressures no matter hot or cold pretty much or Atleast When I've decided to check the dash info on them.

Thank you for posting. That is exactly why nitrogen rocks. Idk why nobody seems to get that.

Google is your friend;
Before you criticize another's education, you may want to present actual science rather than a SPIN on it by the Get Nitrogen Institute. Your quote came from here:

http://www.getnitrogen.org/sub.php?v...eratureeffects

As Bill has already pointed out, read a bit about the ideal gas law below (an enhancement/combination of Boyle's Law). There is no difference between gasses in how much a given volume of gas (any gas, or mixture of them) changes pressure as a function of temperature. I didn't make this up. Much smarter people than me did.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ideal_gas_law

The differences you are experiencing (as Juan said) has to do with the humidity in the gas you are filling your tires with reacting to the temperature change. It's not the difference in how much nitrogen vs. air (it's already 78% nitrogen) expands or contracts vs. temperature.

So the SPIN from the Get Nitrogen Institute relies on the fact that stations who fill your tires with it will have the proper de-humidificaiton equipment in place to deliver you "dry" nitrogen. On the other hand, the same equipment delivering similarly "dry" air will have the same pressure "stability"... It's the ideal gas law at work. However, I suspect this still may not convince you.

And how about these links from Tire Rack?

http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tirete...&affiliate=FH8

http://blog.tirerack.com/blog/make-d...s-and-myths-v1

Conclusion: the only advantage to nitrogen is slightly less permeability through rubber than the oxygen in air. No advantage in thermal stability.

I quit. There is literally nothing good left that some internet butthole with zero real-life experience won't come along to destroy becasue it makes them feel smart. People just looove to repeat negative things because it makes them seem discerning. SO sick of the pompous pseudo-intellectual nonsense. Its exhausting.

If you're a sane person, try the nitrogen. You'll love it. I've used it, it works as advertised and worth every penny. Or deprive yourself over ego. I don't care. Whatever.

The irony in your first sentence is astonishing. So I'm the "internet butthole" who brought actual science rather than getnitrogen.com spin or anecdotal evidence? Wow. The good news apparently is that I'm clairvoyant; the last sentence in my first post in this thread rang true.

All those science courses I took as an undergraduate were wasted. My tire pressures usually go up about 4 psi from cold to highway speeds. For some reason front go up a little more than rears. We were running nitrogen on the race cars because it was handy and getting about the same pressure increase.

I run 100 percent pure Taco Bell farts in my tires.

Took me 7 family packs, 3 cheesy gordita crunch wraps and an order of fries supreme to fill all four tires to spec.

I should have taken the tires off the car to fill them, I ended up getting heel marks from my boots on the tops of the fenders.

Yes, but the valve stems will never be the same.
