I would consider a cam kit from Texas Speed over just some cam from comp. Texas Speeds would be tried and true in one of their builds with real results. Or maybe give LMR or Vengance a call. Are you gonna do a DOD delete setup? I have one LMRs smaller non DOD delete blower cams in my car and love it.

If you're looking for all out top end power and willing to lose some drive ability then a DOD delete cam gets you there. I just wanted something that was blower friendly and gave me the larger fuel lobe ... & of course some chop. I think non DOD delete cams fit supercharged applications better.

I would delete all that gas savings crap no matter what can you go with. Just another thing that can fail.

You would obviously be better off going with a custom cam. Especially if you do head work or a blower. But the off the shelf cams do work well, just not as well as a custom. There is a difference between NA cams and blower cams so keep that in mind. If I were to do it again, I'd get it custom spec cam for my my blower setup.

Optimally, you would want one that deletes the DOD.

Also, I went with the TSP VVT3. It's very street able. No issues at all other than a hit in gas mileage.

Who else grinds cams other than Comp Cam? They advertise 3 cams. Is it any coincidence shops are showing 3 cams? I think most shops are reselling Comp Cams off-the-shelf. That ok I guess.

Any good reputable shop can custom spec you a cam for your setup.

AFM= Active Fuel Managemet is Displacement on Demand. Same thing.

The best way to delete the AFM is replace the hardware including the new lifters and disable in the tune. New lifters requires taking the heads off. If you do that, you might as well get the heads CNC ported ar the same time.

While you could get some power with a cam intended to be used with a supercharger, paying for installation now then next year doing. A super charger will cost more. You will need to pay fir a tune with the cam then pay for another tune with the super charger.

Doing mods is a slippery slope.....$$$$

With the addition of headers and cam, I picked up 120whp on pump gas. It could of been much more with meth.

I would go with the most aggressive off the shelf cam you can get if you end up going that route. The TSP cam package I bought included the AFM delete kit in the package. You also want the fuel lobe.
