Default Tire experts - I please need a confirmation.

Folks, I have decided to go with the following Toyo R888 on STOCK Z51 wheels: 285/35ZR20 and 245/35ZR19.

Toyo only makes a matching 19 up front with the same 35 height as the rear (versus 30 for the rear and 35 for the front). Will the same "35" for both front and rear cause an issue with the ABS or any check engine lights? I please need confirmation, prior to ordering. Thank you.

PS: Car is NOT lowered, although it has a little added weight up front from a centrifugal supercharger.

R888- the 245/35ZR19 has a diameter of 25.8, same as the stock MPSS's, but the 285/35ZR20's have a diameter of 27.7 inches, considerably taller then the 26.5 inches for the stock rears. Just guessing, but that seems like a high ratio...

Hmmm, so what could that possibly imply as an undesirable consequence? It is amazing how that minute difference in height will throw off the ratio that much.

Thanks for the confirmation. So the same height for both the front and rear with no issues. Great to hear.

I wouldnt say "same height." The rear tire is much taller than the front, even though they have the same aspect ratio of 35.

Yes, I meant the same aspect ratio. It is recommended not to vary the aspect ratio from front to rear more than an inch. However the proposed combo has a variance of 1.9 inches. I hope that others with the same Toyo combo can chime in to confirm that they also have no issues.

I had Toyo R888 tires,
265/35/19 and 285/35/20 on my Z51 wheels,
before I got wider wheels and wider Toyo R888 tires.
They have 26.3 and 27.7 inch diameters respectively.
This is 1.4 inches difference.

They fit just fine, and didn't get the computer upset.

Your 245/35/19 has a diameter of 25.8 inches,
which is 1.9 inches smaller than the rear.
I expect you shouldn't have any computer problems.
But you might consider the slightly larger size I mentioned for the front.

Thanks for the input. However, if I went with the 265's up front, I would want the 315's in the rear. The entire reasoning for me not to go with the 315/265 combo, is because the stock Z51 wheels are narrower than the recommended sizes for those tires. I remember you posting that there is a risk of the tires actually rolling off the rim if cornering hard with wider tires that are recommended for a particular rim width.

Yup,
most wheel/tire guys will say that 1 inch wider than allowed
is all they would mount.

Here's a link to a chart...

http://www.tyresizecalculator.com/ch...rim-size-chart

For my 265 tires on the stock Z51 front rims (8.5 inches),
I obviously have "fudged" a little... (by 10 mm).

Anyone else running this proposed combo?
