Cold Redline
Ok so this is going to be a little silly, but im ocd and its a problem I deal with in a lot of other areas of life, so please take it easy on me. couple of days ago after only about 5 mins of driving, I stupidly decided I wasn't going to be cut off by some joker in a Mercedes. I still had the cold redline going, probably around 4500 and as I shifted into second I hit the gas a little too hard and the dash lit up red at me. don't think I exceeded 4500, maybe not much past 4, but the dash lighting up freaked me out. I didn't do (much)harm did I?

Yes the coolant temp must reach apprx 140* before you get out of the low RPM limit
ALSO if you have an auto trans the same goes for your TQ converter--The trans fluid temp again must go beyond apprx 140* before the converter will lock up--
