What tire pressure and tire size are your NT05R's and how did the tires feel at those speeds? Any side to side swaying? I just put on a set of 305/35R19 NT05R's at 30PSI. At 125 mph my car felt like it was swaying side to side almost like it was going to lose control so I had to let off. At 125 mph my car felt like it was swaying side to side almost like it was going to lose control so I had a little off. I have heard that lower tire pressure is the key but have not had the chance to try it yet that's why I wanted to ask you since you've had it well over 125 with those tires.

Ive been a passenger in a heavy ctsv sedan on 17" weld wheels and mickey Thompson dr's with a massive sidewall and that had a ton of sway. I didnt think the 305/35/19 nt05r's were bad at all especially compared to that V.

Im running 305/35/19 as well. I lowered them to 22psi to start the day but was fighting for every bit of mph i could get to i aired them up to 26psi for the last 2 runs. They felt pretty good, not too much sway. It was hard to tell what was wheel spin and what was sidewall sway. The runway surface was nice and flat but very dusty. The dust plus the painted markers made me nervous each time i went over them. My 4-5 shift would happen right around a big patch of paint but thankfully it was fine.

ok good to know. When I was at 125 the sway was enough that I had to really try keep it straight. My passenger was freaking out that we were going to wipe out and told me after that he thought we were going to loose it towards the end. This is my first set of drag radials so even a little sway scared the crap out of me since I never felt that before and wasn't prepared for it. Did you notice the sway more at the higher PSI vs the lower PSI or was it too hard to tell with the surface the way it was?

Sure thing man! Ill also note i was running no aero components on the car. I have the z06 grill and brake ducts up front, and the center rubber airdamn removed for the supercharger. I left the 2 in front of the tires in place; i figured if they did anything at all itd be at these higher speeds.
I have a poverty splitter and "zr51" spoiler ready to install but i figured i might as well wait till after the event. Not sure if they would have helped or hurt but i figured id just leave them off. I have sideskirts coming today so maybe ill slap them all on this weekend.
Im betting this would have made some drag at 160+
Could have probably seen the airflow in all that dust!

Congrats on the great runs! There were several of us locals out there on Saturday, from what I've heard the times got faster on Sunday (wish I could have been out both days). Would have loved to run you, I was doing 162 in my A&A C6 GS, with a buddy in another A&A GS with cam/headers doing 170, a C6Z with cam doing 160, and a bone stock C7Z A8 doing 153.

Since ecs dropped the ball do you have a kit that can go out red label overnight on Monday? I'd like the upgraded blower, josh or Andy, Mike or myself will be in contact Monday morning

Give Mike a call and see what he wants to do. He told me up front about ecs doing this, I went with them when Chis told him I guarantee it will be there blah blah, Mike even told him to double check when they were shipping. (+1 (409) 273-8997)

one quik note, getting the belt over the alternator last is the hardest way to get it on. go over the biggest pulley last will make it go on easier for sure or better yetif you can slide it over an idler pulley or a smooth pulley last that helps even more

Thanks man! I actually did the water pump last the 3rd time and it was way easier. Kinda tricky to do be myself though. I had to release the tensioner from below the car and secure the wrench in place with a zip tie then crawl out from under the car and slide the belt over the water pump. Definitely would have been much easier if i had the wife come slide the belt on but she was out of town so i manned up!
