Default Which one would you go with?

Toyo t1r or Michelin pilot super sport non runflats?

I'll be purchasing 20x11" rear rims.. So tire size would be 305x30x20.. I live in Florida where it gets ridiculously cold.. Lows of 72 degrees.. I know it's crazy.

I am supercharged and I am not into autocross.. Mostly straight line traction on the streets. Which tire do you feel will grip better for straight line traction on the streets?

A lot of people are not going to disagree with me but who the heck cares. Your suspension was tuned for your stock tires. The springs are a little soft to compensate for the silly stiff side walls on the run flats. Chevy compensated by sticking really stiff sways on the car to control body roll. If you put a summer non run flat tire on the car, you will see more body roll with the added grip( the extra grip will over load the springs). You can add bigger sways to limit body roll but this will reduce overall grip by shifting more cornering load to the outside tires( depending on the grip of the tires you choose). The ideal choice would be to change the tires, springs and shocks( tires/car weight set the spring rates, spring rates set the shock damping)...but most people will not do that. Option 2 would be to add the stickier tires and larger rimes and gut the car, pull a couple hundred pounds out of it and this will reduce the load on the springs....most people will not do that as well....My advice is to plan you mods very carefully and to not be surprised when a change in rims and tires forces other changes to keep the car balanced.

I have 9.5x19 rims in front and 11x20 in the back, but I couldn't get the Michelin PSS 305's for the rear because Ferrari sucks them all up, so I went with 295's and they fit and ride really well on both street and road course.

This is EXACTLY what I did. I mean exactly. Spun forged 19x9.5s wheels up front and 20x11's in the rear. 255 35 19's Michelin PSS's non run flats up front and 295 30 20's Michelin PSS's non run flats in back. Perfect for Z51's! No issues with rubbing and the drive-ability is a stock like ride (minus a lot of extra reciprocating mass of the stock Z51 wheel / run flat combo).

But does Toyo make a 305 30 20 in the R888?? considering the OP wants a 20" rear wheel and all....

Plus the tire C7Jake posted is the T1R I believe, not the R888

They do not: R888 is either 285/35ZR20 or 315/30ZR20. I would love to find a 295 or 305 R compound by right now many choices if we want to stick with our stock 20's. Nitto makes their NT05 in a 305/30ZR20 that would probably fit on nicely. Anyone tried them...

People have tried the Nitto's and they work decent for what I've heard. Fit good.

The 315/30/20 R888's is what I'm going with I think. They fit great on a 20x11" wheel. 11" is their ideal wheel which is what I think he had so that will work fine.

I am running Toyo r888's on mine, 315/30-20 on a 20x11 wheel. I love the setup, looks great on the car and hooked up well in the 650rwhp range. I would go with the 888s over the T1R if you are supercharged.

Motohead279....I think that's the first actual pic I've seen of your car! Looks great! Got a few questions for ya....

1. Is your car lowered at all (looks to be maybe lowered on stock bolts)?
1.a. If so, does it rub anywhere with that setup? Did you have to remove anything to keep from rubbing?

2. Do those tires have any kind of a "do not even roll" temperature such as our stock Run craps? (they say not to even move the car if it's below 20 degrees)

3. Do you have any pics from directly behind the car to show how far it sticks out? Did you have to do anything to the factory spacing?

Any help you can provide would be great!

+1
What offset are you running on those wheels and a shot from the back/down the side would be very helpful.

Thanks for the compliment.

1. The car is only lowered on the stock bolts, they do not rub.

2. The website says they lose flexibility below 15 degrees F. Here is their product bulletin
https://toyotires2-1524598101.netdna...Advisory_0.pdf

3. I actually don't have any pics from directly behind, I can take some tomorrow. Below is a video clip of the car, if you pause it around 7 seconds you can get an idea of the profile. They don't stick out of the rear fender, the offset is perfect. I honestly do not know the offset of the wheels, I looked at the invoice from last year and its not on there. I purchased them from Ben at WeaponX Motorsports, If you are looking for wheels he's a great guy to go to.

I will actually be listing my wheels here in the for sale forum, because with the Z06 body work I am putting on I need wider wheels now (which was the whole point of the kit anyways)

That video answered my question. Those offsets are great, not poking out at all.

Thanks man! Offset is perfect because I have a spreadsheet with them all on there for the dozens and dozens of C7 wheel setups I've done the past couple years

Your next setup is going to be sick! Even without the widebody grill LOL

HOLY H E Double hockey sticks! That thing sounds MAGICAL!!! Wheres the drooling emoji!!!!!!

PS...That video answers my question for the offsets....however, if you do want to, take some side shot photos of your car so I can see those wheels on it a little better. I'm not quite ready to buy new wheel and tires yet, and was very interested in the 360 Forged Mesh 5's, but those look like they may be similar. And if you're gonna sell them, and if the price is right...I may be interested! Also, the specs of those wheels too! (brand, model, sizes, etc) Thanks!

Oh...and I just subscribed to your youtube...HAD to!
