compare that with my current wheels that are 11inches +83 with 295s or 305s are flush, as much as I would push out vs stock without looking like they are sticking out, 7-10mm from stock.....
a lot of these TSWs, etc look like they stick out to me. I had TSWs first and the stock 285 tire rubbed the fender (lowered on stock bolts).

Possible, but the guy at west coast corvettes said they would take them back if the fitment is off. No lose. I'm gonna run 285's, non lowered, only on drag strip days. They'll probably be used 20 hours a year. I'll be interested to see how these fit but it's a no lose situation either way, being that I can return them.

I've decided to go with the 18x10.5 65 offset TSW. I went through West Coast Corvettes and have been assured if the fitment isn't right, I can return them. That's all you can ask for.
I'm gonna go out on a limb and use 285 40's. We'll see how it does in a dig. That's exactly a stock height tire, but not being lowered should help. Only one way to find out.
They were too expensive. shipping tax and all was exactly $800. I deal with WCC and pay a little more because they're extremely helpful and easy to deal with.

I'm leaning your way too (ET Street SS, 285/40R18) not lowered, on light rims, maybe Oz. My 1LT daily driver goes to Vengeance Racing Monday (1-4-16) for a NA, E85 build and I think a 285 will hook just fine with my new power level (550+/- RWHP) with A8. We'll see around April. Keep us posted about your results.
