Longtubes is probably the best option for HP. A catback probably won't give you much.

You can do an X-pipe too without a need for a tune. Borla is my personal preference, but a lot of people like the Corsa stuff too.

Look at BB also. They have been a long standing exhaust manufacturer as well.

It's my understanding you can do ARH mid length catted headers and and X pipe without a tune as well too right? So do you just use the cats on the headers and eliminate the back cats on the factory X pipe? Thanks

I researched the heck out of different options. Ended up with a Borla x-pipe and Borla ATAK system - arrived today. Will install this week and post my impression. Went with Borla for the deep throaty American V8 sound. Incredible pricing from John at Maryland Speed. Call for best pricing.

As for HP, I don't believe there are any mid-pipe/axel back systems that will add more than 5-7 HP.

Borla has a X-pipe that retains all 4 stock cats:
Borla part # 60548

#60547 deletes the rear/secondary cats.

We did 1 7/8" American Racing Headers (with cats and cross-pipe) and Borla ATAK non NPP valve axle back exhaust. Very free flowing exhaust..

i went with the corsa xtreme and corsa double helix xpipe. I love the sound and in the future, when warranty is over, i'll add mid length headers. The double helix eliminates 2 of the 4 cats and the sound it adds makes a big difference. I thought the sound of just the xtreme was ok, but with the xpipe, it is awesome.

Here's what I did. ARH mids / borla catless xpipe. No tune.

Nate that's the combo I was thinking about going with. You don't throw any codes and can you pass emissions with that? Illinois does OBD port testing. Thanks! And how much louder did it make the car? I have the NPP.

IMO, I think the Borla ATAK and X-pipe combo sounds awesome and it's probably one of the most cost efficient NPP systems available.

If there was, I am sure it was fixed in the tune. We purchased a Z51 with the NPP exhaust but when we got ALL of that work done to our car, it was apparent that we did not need (or want) the NPP valves feature. So, the Borla ATAK exhaust that we went with, was the deleted valves option:

Borla P/N: 11869. That exhaust wasn't too hard on my pocketbook either: $1300 dollars. Took it locally to a ceramic coater and had them coated black for a few hundred bucks. Looks REALLY good and we are very pleased with their overall appearance (especially for an investment of $1500).

Our American Racing Headers (with cross pipe and cats), I believe has this part number: (listed on ARH's website) 2014-Up Header 1-7/8" x 3" X-Pipe 3" x 3" W/Cats C7-14178300LSWC. Their website has a MSRP of $2195 but I think we found them a little cheaper here on the forums.
