Did we ever get an answer as to whether after market exhausts like Corsa and Borla will seamlessly fit and use the software of the car? - as in the exhaust menus, linking to drive mode, etc....
I thought GM had locked aftermarket guys out of that?
I have a new camaro owner that says they will, but not sure he's right....
If your car came with NPP, the aftermarket systems (Borla, Corsa, Magnaflow, Akra) that re-use the NPP actuators on their new built valves are -supposed- to work with the OEM electronics. I seem to recall numerous folks reporting CELs due to the slight difference in valve spring profiles. Maybe they've gotten better or more consistent. And there is an NPP actuator re-learn that a dealer must perform to remedy if they're throwing a CEL after being installed on new valves.
What's ironic is that disconnecting or disabling the NPP actuators doesn't throw a CEL. Putting them on new valves that behave differently in their duty cycle will...and then it's a trip to the dealer to recalibrate.
Only Akra advertises a retrofit system to add NPP function into a non-NPP car. Otherwise you transplant your NPP valves to the new system (like any other) and it 'should' work.

xp800, that is exactly why I'm sticking with the factory axle back exhaust. My mid-length ARH headers with high flow cats will make it louder to start with. I want to be able to listen to music on long trips ..........
I added the Borla Atak system that works with the existing NPP system. The NPP actuators are removed from Oem NPP and added to the Borla...and the valve opens and closes the same as the OEM system...
This is a picture of the Borla Atak that utilizes the factory NPP. You can see the NPP actuators on the outside pipes. No CEL ever.
Hope that helps.

I installed the Borla ATAK and catless x-pipe on my '16 Z06 last week. I did it myself in my garage using a MaxJax lift. There were absolutely no problems with the install. I used the factory NPP actuators and mounting hardware. I have driven it about 200 miles since the install and I have had no warning lights. To top it off the thing sounds freaking awesome. The folks at Borla were great to work with and provided me with exactly what I wanted. Though the polished stainless steel looks like art work, I wrapped the entire exhaust system with DEI Titanium header wrap and the mufflers with DEI universal muffler wrap trying to keep the heat down inside the car.
I made a run to do some final shopping on Christmas eve. When I came back to the car there were 3 guys waiting for me. They heard and saw me when I parked. They were waiting for me to return because they wanted to hear it close up when I started it again.
I am 66 yrs. old. If I can install this by myself, in my own garage, with no problems, and no warning lights, I'd say that is pretty seamless.
With the Corsa you are replacing the mufflers and tips. If you have npp you will just tie off the valves actuators out of the way and they still work but serve no purpose to the mufflers.
