Not a bad idea except for the fact that they wouldn't see what color the fluid was that's in there. One would hope they see this!

Even though only Corvette specific mechanics are supposed to touch our cars its often handed off to the hourly lube kids for oil changes. Do you think they have any idea what the sticker on the cap actually means? Lol

Hoping that if I bump this you will see it. Mines leaking now too. Where did you get that part? I haven't disassembled yet but pretty sure its the same leak as yours.

The odd part is this seemed to happen while my car was parked for about 10 days. I went on vacation and came back to a empty tank. Put a little in there and put a paper towel down and checked this morning and I could see where condensation was on the paper towel right where my meth tank is.

yup mine happened after sitting also. I got the grommet at a Cadillac dealership in Dallas. Guess it's a similar part on the caddy.

The part number is above. Call me if you need to discuss or need help. 214.882.8271

Thanks for the quick response! I will call one around me and see if I can get it this weekend.

I installed the kit myself so I know what I need to do. Should be simple. Thanks for offering help! I may order a few of them because I have a feeling this may happen again.

My pump started leaking last week. Luckily Vengeance found it while doing other work and was able to get it swapped out. I will be rebuilding the pump yearly going forward just as a precaution. Luckily, none of the other fittings had issues.

Bucknut2006 - how long have you had the pump installed? During the winter last year (if installed) did you train the meth reservoir or let it sit over the winter with meth in the tank?

It was installed last September. My garage stays about 60F all winter and I drive it on nice days. The longest the car sat was 10 days I believe.

Well bought 3 of those rubber fittings in case my leak happens again. Lifted the car up and looked for the leak. Not the grommet. Fittings looked good and dry too but the very bottom of my motor between the two fittings was leaking slowly. I'm guessing this is what happens when it's time for a rebuild? Had my wife hit the test button and meth started coming out of the two fittings and the bottom of motor pretty steady.

Think I'm going to buy another motor and send mine back for rebuild so I always have one on hand.

Good thing it's raining today. I'll be staying off that happy face pedal
