Hello!
Just purchased a used (mint almost) 2014 C7 and drove it home 340 miles. I noticed a noise that would come and go. I first thought heat shield flapping of something like that, and then thought the plastic tag bracket over my temporary paper tag. I got home and looked underneath and the middle air dam, right side was broken. I guess that could be my source of the flapping noise too?
Whats the ill effects of removing that for a few days? Is it for diverting air into the radiator on the C7 or can I remove it for a while until I can get the new ones ordered and installed?
Thanks!
If your vette is a Z51 then it was installed by mistake, they came with all vettes in the rear hatch and dealers installed them. If it's a stock C7 it is used to deflect air under the car. You should not have any issues if it's off for a few days.
