Default Help to wire a shift light

I am considering buying and installing a name brand shift light . Does anyone know what wire I can hook into to get a signal. I have a 15 M7 car and occasionally take it down the 1/4 and want to dial in my shift points and be the consistant on all 3 shifts.

My 2014 M7 has shift lights from the factory. They are on the top of the screen.

Thank you for responding and I am aware of those shift lights. A true shift light is adjustable so you can see when to initiate a shift just before redline without watching a moving shift light or tach needle. That makes the dash shift light useless for 1/4 use.
At what point would you shift using the shift light system provided with out hitting the fuel shut off? all you have is a series of lights left and right coming closer to each other. If you shift when they touch, its to late.

Currently, I run 1/2 mile and one mile events. I reach max. HP at ~6,000. I shift at 6,500. I do not do "No Lift Shift". Your request indicates you are in a precision space. I am still a backyard racer. My next mod is getting the right wheels for those events.

Any reason for not "no lift shifting"?
