Hey guys, I'm looking to change out just the mufflers over the axle and that's it. Has anyone done this I'm sure they have but what is involved? Do I have to disconnect wiring because of the valves the butterfly valves? Or is it pretty straightforward just pull out the old and put in BnB bullets is what I'm looking for so if anyone has I set of those that like to sell I would be interested, however I have one stipulation I have to have the original tip quad tip look.
Thx
John

i installed corsa xtremes on mine. Nothing too difficult but does take time. You have to remove the lower facia off the rear bumper and for the corsas you have to cut the factory mufflers at the actuators and put them on the corsa. If you have bi mode exhaust then some use them and some don't so if you don't you just zip tie them up and out of the way...
I installed Bullets in my '14 Z51, and if you have non-NPP's you should have no problem, whatsoever. If you have NPP, you can tie your actuators up to the frame like I did.
The Bullets do have a slight separation between the right two tips and the left two.
I have non NPP on purpose. To lame for me.I went with B+B,PRT.I had the dealership do it.
Took about an hour.I believe they charged me 2 hours labor.I couldn't be happier. At WOT it
Might be A little to loud.I'm not complaining.
I have the B & B bullets on my 2015 z51 M7. I also have a Halltech carbon cai and ARH mid length headers. I removed the NPP actuators and just zip tied the wires. The tips are black speedway tips, love them and really not that loud, unless I'm wot. I will be installing a Borla x-pipe this weekend so the secondary cats will be eliminated. Hopefully I will not wake up the dead. It's the performance and weight reduction that I'm interested in and not so much the sound.

Previously had the B&B Bullets, kooks catless xpipe and kooks header/AFE intake. Was VERY loud under WOT but, sounded amazing. I will be sure to post some videos up after I get the AA supercharger tuned on the car. Attached video is intake/header/xpipe/BB exhaust.

can you post pic? also how difficult was the NPP, because I have that?
thanks

ps sound byte would be awesome
I don't have a sound byte (Youtube has plenty), but they are significantly louder than the NPP, with a lower tone. They aren't as loud as Bullets installed on an LS2, 3 or 7, though.
I am strictly interested in the sound. loud rumble while idling and rolling in 1st (auto). I will probably do it the same as my C6. I started out with just mufflers. flows, borla, corsa etc....just couldn't get the sound I wanted. so then I went long tube, catless, x-pipe, b&b and it sounded GREAT!!! I had it tuned to shift at a higher speed/rpm, as well as shut off the rear o2 sensor plus some other things. the autos have always shifted way too early for me. I checked mine yesterday and I was in 4th at 35mph... I don't use the paddles as I don't see the need and yeah it's a novelty for a bit, but if your not track racing I don't see the point, but to each his own. I love autos. just floor it and it downshifts into best gear and neck jerks you....and your off! Sorry I got off point.
I'm reiterating what I started asking. has anyone just done the over axle and been happy with sound? I guess I can look at youtube like owc6 suggested.
also, Thrilled, what does the PRT mean in this statement you made, B+B,PRT? and what was the total cost of bullets and labor?
thanks
John
B+ B ,is Billy Boat. The PRT I forget what it stands for.But their they sound about the same as the bullets.I don't hear any drone but at 64,my hearing could be better.I believe they ran
Around $1,300 I had a Chevy dealer install them.Took about an hour
