Long Tube Headders / CEL Question

If I decide to install long tube headders, will I be stuck with a CEL constantly? I am tempted to get a set, but everything I have read so far, seems to lead me to beleive a CEL is imminent.

How do others deal with this issue?

Absolutely. I even tried the Kooks green cat y-pipe on my truck and they still set a code. The green catted y-pipe is (or was) advertised not to set codes.

Sounds like you need a good tuner. Installing headers will always throw off codes untless you tune the car correctly.
