Default Advice needed with seat replacement.

Having done the suspension to my satisfaction I am leaning towards some weight reduction. I believe 150 lbs reduction is very possible without effecting everyday driving comforts too much.

The largest possible reduction in weight is likely the replacement of the seats with racing seats. I estimate 80 lbs savings from replacing both seats.

Looking at the seat mountings the 4 mounting bolts are obvious and easy to remove. More challenge is to remove the plastic side panels from the seats that have the electric switches mounted to. They need to come off to remove the factory seat belt mountings. Probably some snap fitting but, moderate pulling did nothing and I am reluctant to pull harder at this point.

I read in TOILET's weight reduction thread that he did not get any permanent CELs as the results of removing and replacing his seats.

Have anyone removed their seats and have some advice and procedures?

See if I can get this link to properly paste. If not do a search on "seat conversion" this goes into how to remove.
