Ordering lowering bolts over the weekend, wondering what experience you guys have with certain brands. I see there's a couple ranging from the $40-$70 range, and all the up to $200 for the PFADT brand. Is it the usual 'you get what you pay for' scenario? What brand would you recommend?
if the OP has a splitter on the front of car no way you will are can go lower than what the stock bolts will take you and not hit it and damage it on all most any off set hump in the road..
I lowered mine just to see what it would do at the lowest point I loved it but had to raise it back up almost half way back up just not to hit going out of my drive way even at a angle. Robert
Guys, I'd just like some opinions of others who have the bolts installed and if it's worth getting the more expensive product if the less expensive ones get the job done just as well.
I like the look of the lowering bolts and I'm not worried about ruining my front lip/splitter.
going lower than stock bolts will introduce rubbing if you change tire sizes, wider or taller. I know I did the same thing a couple years ago on mine and ended up raising it back up and then moved on to coilovers.
lowering bolts are cheap, yes, but not worth the time or money involved. get them if you need to see for yourself, of course.

For the money diff and the diff in which you can live with the car driving & also on the street no it is not worth it..
If I were to go down the path of aftermarket lowering bolts, it would be the aFe/PFADT's. Yes, they are a lot pricier than the other ones available for the C7 at only $45, but they are CNC machined stainless steel vs. what appears to be spray painted steel welded on some guys workbench, and incorporate what I feel is necessary to help keep them seated correctly and operate quietly:
• Articulating ball stud for perfect alignment between foot and stud.
• Nylon, foot pads, for smooth articulation and quiet operation.
I have been very impressed with all the aFe & PFADT products I've seen come out of their shop.
If you're a brave soul willing to test unknown brands, I found these on eBay which appear to be similar in design to aFe/PFADT's:
