Tracks in PNW are actually great. Technical tracks with a lot of elevation changes, good tarmac, great temp range during 6 months of the year, and very safe with trees far away (except Pacific Raceways). I'm actually a bit spoiled; it feels boring when I see a track with not much elevation change to unsettle the suspension.
I just wish some of the new tracks that popped up in B.C. were a bit cheaper, too. They seem to have adopted membership model to please the rich crowd.

Membership is where it's at! I paid $5k down and $200/mo for all I want to drive. Other tracks are $100/mo and $20/session. Sessions are generally 30 min on/30 off and we get 7 sessions a day! Either way, it beats $250/track day with 30 other cars on the track for 5x20 min sessions.
Your track layout looks great. It's the safety that makes me cringe.

I'm member of the ORP club (another track nearby), and I love the experience, too! Unfortunately, this track (Ridge) doesn't have such a club. The other tracks' (in B.C) sign-up rates start from $20K, and go up to $50K; I can't afford that : )

There's nothing to cringe at that track; the only place you get close to the paddock wall is right after that slow corkscrew. Even if you lost it there, the damage would be limited since you're pretty slow. Pacific Raceways, however is the one to cringe at; looks like they didn't care much about safety back in 1930s when they built it : P

MSR Houston has a reasonable 5K one time and 200 a month. I'm going out there next weekend on a member day to see if I want to commit to it. Now that TWS is gone and NASA TX only doing 6 events next year I dunno.

I've just gotten spoiled by member days. Track days, with all these other cars running around, scare me.

I wish the tracks in Texas would do reciprocal memberships with tracks out of town. It's not like I'm debating getting a membership at a track 250 miles away, but it sure would be a huge perk to be able to go to a different track once a year.

Harris hill raceway does have a reciprocal membership (from what I'm told) and I believe their site indicates it as such as well.
It'll give you access to both MSRH & MSRC obviously in addition to H2S
Honestly track days are getting kind of bleh for me once I started dong time trial I knew that was where I wanted to be.
At track days I'm typically one of the fastest of the group and in time trials the slowest haha. The TT guys are modded and fast as hell.
So I just threw on the LG G2 coilovers that came from @X25 and some LG sways and we'll see if I can't change that.

Best of luck with your new setup!
I also agree, I hate track days with 25 people on the track at the same time for 20 (16 actual) minutes. I barely warm up myself by the time the checkered flag is up, and I usually waste my best laps with traffic.
Membership to ORP club costs $1000 initially, and $220/year + ~$190/day attended. It's open format, 9-5PM besides lunch break, and I almost always end up having enough of it by 3-4PM, even though I usually start around 10:30. Amazing experience. I wish RMP also had a similar club : )

I guess I need to move to Texas or the PNW! I have two tracks close and one not so bad. The closest is NCM, followed by Putnam and then Mid Ohio. I run at Putnam a lot, we hold bike events there annually.
They have a membership, but it is a 10K annual buy in..... So, I am stuck with the organized trackday events with Porsche clup or BMW etc....

UPDATE
The removal of the lip cleaned up the rear look.
No leak on the tranny, except by that exhaust hanger in a little amount. I'm hoping this is just a residue from previous leaks before resetting the fluid level.
You'd think there's no space for the canister there...
That little nick is the only evidence I can find of any interference with the hood.
- Rear lip: Decided to remove the center lip on the rear spoiler. I don't think the additional downforce is justified, especially considering I only have LT1 engine, and GM decided to not use it for GS, even in Z07 trim.
- Transmission leak: I did have a "service airbag" error a few weeks back, which turned out to be a defect with the driver side seat belt. I asked the service to also check for the transmission leak while the car was at service, and they did not find any apparent leaks. They put a dyne into the transmission fluid to detect if I come back again, and found out that my transmission oil level, as I've suspected, was a bit higher than the suggested fill level. They said this seems to have caused the transmission to leak fluid from the breather at the top. Sounds good; they did bring it to the recommended level, and it doesn't seem to have leaked besides some fluid I see on the exhaust mount, which I'm hoping is from the previous leaks. Anyhow, I'm very glad to hear that there was no issue with the gaskets, etc.
- Penske canisters: When I tried the car at the track with the new coilovers, I realized the passenger side front canister was getting very hot, getting heat soaked from the header. There's no obvious other place to put it, but I realized there's actually some space on the top of the airbox. This should hopefully stay much cooler than the previous location.

It's been unusually cold here in PNW, lately. My first time at ORP will likely be March 25th; looking forward to it.

UPDATE
- Girodisc front rotors:
- If you guys remember, there was a clearance issue between the pads and the front Girodisc rotor hats, that caused the hat to be trimmed by the pads by the mounting locations.
- Mike @Girodisc has contacted me last month, and told me that the problem is rather with pads, since the Raybestos pads I sourced from Porterfield were apparently cut a little smaller causing it to slip forward enough to cause interference.
- Long story short, Girodisc now has Raybestos pads cut at correct dimensions! I just bought a set of new pads from Mike, and he was kind enough to send me a new set of hats; yay!
- Pirelli DHC vs DH:
- DHC is supposedly the same (or similar) compound as DH, and signifies the tires used at Ferrari challenge per JB Racing, where I source my scrubs. I only have the front size in DH compound, so I asked if I could use them at the same time, and was told they were the same compound. The compound might be, but looks like there is a big differences in construction, leading weight differences.
- Check out the weights (from scrubs):
- Pirelli DH 305/645/18: 25.2 lbs (NT01 315/30/18: 30 lbs, Hoosier 315/30/18: 27 lbs)
- Pirelli DHC 325/660/18: 22.4 lbs (NT01 325/30/19: 32 lbs, Hoosier R7 335/30/18 is 28 lbs, 345/30/18: 29 lbs)
- 22.4lbs? How is this even possible? If it doesn't kill me at the track (by blowing up, etc.), this might be an amazing performer at this weight.
- My tire configs:
- For the long term, I am planning to use these:
- Hoosier R7 315/30/18, 345/30/18 on BC Forged
- Pirelli DH/C 305/645/18, 325/660/18 on BC Forged
- Nitto NT01s 315/30/18, 325/30/19 on CCW
- In the short term, I'd like to try these:
- Hankook Ventus TD Z221: I just got these tires mounted on BC Forged wheels at 285/30/18, 295/30/18 sizes. I only paid $99/tire, brand new (but a bit old). They were just too cheap to pass, and they're supposed to be faster than NT01s; looking forward to testing it out.
- Toyo R888R: I did not like R888 tires, but a close friend of mine fell in love with R888Rs; I plan to try them out once I use up the NT01s on CCWs.
- For the long term, I am planning to use these:
Pirelli DH 305/645/18; 25.2 lbs
Pirelli DHC 325/660/18; 22.4 lbs!!!!!!
Hankook Ventus TD Z221 285/30/18 on BC Forged 18x10.5; 48.7 lbs. That means the tire is about 27 lbs.
Hankook Ventus TD Z221 295/30/18 on BC Forged 18x11; 49.4 lbs. That means the tire is about 28 lbs.
The Girodisc hat is about 1.8 lbs without hardware. That means the ring is about 20 lbs. Actually, I have the spare rings, I should weight them, too : )
The properly cut ST43s is 4.9 lbs per caliper.

C7 of the Year - Unmodified Finalist 2021
Final Gear:
I’ve installed the APR Carbon Fiber Stage 3 on my Z51, I’m about to order the APR Z06 Carbon Fiber Spats and would appreciate any recommendations as I don’t want to ruin $350 Carbon Fiber Spats. Since my set up is all APR,sounds like you’re saying less modifications needed because no clearance issues. Kyle

true race tires are much lighter than street tires. They also puncture easily. They're really thin, especially once you get some laps on them.

It still doesn't explain why a physically bigger tire of same brand and supposedly same compound would be so much lighter. 305/645/18 Pirelli DH Slick weighed 25.2lbs, while 325/660/18 Pirelli DHC Slick weighed 22.4lbs! You'd think it's at least be similar..

I'm assuming the "C" is more competition oriented and thinner.
