Default Newb track burnout question

Hey guys, embarrassed to be asking this, almost made a new account for it haha.

How do I do a standing burnout?

Normally I go to the track and I'm on street tires. Just a quick step of the throttle and pop the clutch and I peep down the track a bit to warm the tires. This Friday however will be my first time ever with drag radials (NT05R's) and it is my understanding they need more heat to be effective.

So my question is do I use the pedal brake or the electronic hand brake to keep the car in place for the burnout? Would like to not embarrass myself at the track and stall out while staging haha.

TIA

You are going to want to use the pedal brake, do a nice smokey burnout and really warm them up, (4-5 seconds), then let off the brake and continue the burnout slightly while moving forward out of the waterbox until you feel it almost want to bite. This will set you up for the best hooking potential.

You need to go around the water, back into the length of water with the rear tires and pull back out of the water. Give the car some gas and pop the clutch and the immediately slide your left foot over to the foot brake and just stop the car from going forward. You will notice you can release some of the pedal pressure and the car will not creep forward, just keep the rpm at 5000 rpm. When to see some smoke,(tilt your right mirror so you can see the right rear wheel) let off the brake and let the car go forward and finally let off the gas and go up to the stageing lights.
Don't be intimidated, lots of guys cannot slide the left foot off the clutch and on the brake, takes a little practice. Do some practice with the car sitting and not running, push on the gas, pop the clutch, slide your foot to the brake and hold, over and over and over again.

Don't forget to shut off traction control
