CAGS Skip Shift Eliminator Install - question with pic
I installed the CAGS Skip Shift Eliminator in my 2016 Stingray (yes, a manual transmission) and was wondering if anyone else had this (please see pic below) anti-heat shield in place before you installed your CAGS? Second, I removed it completely - did you? Not exactly sure how to install it after fitting the new device in the transmission. And yes, I zip tied the loose end. Went for a test drive and it worked perfectly...thanks for all the posts/tips/reviews.
Oh, I raised the Corvette up by jacking up the rear cross member and placed two solid pieces of wood (12" x 12" by 1.5") with a 6" landscaping stone (stones were solid) under each rear tire. I placed my jack stands under the rear side jacking "puck" areas. I left the jack in place with a little pressure. Dumb or okay in your opinion? I infiltrated the transmission area from the driver's side rear of the car.
Thanks and Semper Fi

I enter from the rear of the car on my back to install. I used a floor jack on each rear "puck" area with puck installed, then installed 2 jack stands under the rear cradle for extra safety. Then I slide between both jack stands. Of course before lifting the rear, I placed wheel chocks on both front wheels to prevent rolling forward. I lost a friend due to a hydraulic failure on a floor jack, the vehicle crushed him to death. I play extra safe when I can, anything can happen, including stone breaking in half.

Enjoy the 4th.
