I didn't like creasing and folding the carpet to get it out from under and back under the side panels, so i popped those off too. Easy, same T-40 to remove the identical clips on the side panels.

Remove floor & side tie-downs as mentioned;
Remove smaller covers over the roof storage mounts;
Then remove both side trip pieces;
You are not done yet....now remove the nut holding the storage compartment lid to the drivers side bulkhead;
Now using a plastic spoon, pull straight up on the storage lid frame, be careful, there are 3 clips holding the carpet/frame down;
You may want to remove the rear cover just to make life a little easier but not totally necessary;
Good luck; this may sound like a lot of work but really isn't, takes about 30 minutes.
