Default X-Pipe and Stock Exhaust

Has anyone installed just the x-pipe and kept the stock exhaust? If so what was the results? The stock exhaust, the way it is just isn't loud enough. Thanks

Made it louder with NPP valves open. Still quiet with valves closed.

Pretty happy with mine (Borla 60547) - adds a mean, terrifying rasp (but not import an rasp) to it - not deeper if that is what you want. It is relatively cheap for mods and you can do it yourself easily in a few hours with a ramp or jack stands.

I put borla X pipe to my factory performance exhaust, it sounds aftermarket for sure.

Borla x-pipe and stock NPP exhaust here. Really happy with the results (especially on cold start-up)!

I went a bit of a different route.
Instead of doing Corsa and or Borla I installed on my 16 Z51 w/NPP a Manzo X-Pipe. I found it on Ebay for like 260$ or so. I didn't want to spend $500+ on just an X-pipe.
Anyway, it made it definitely a bit louder both from inside and outside. I was very happy with the results.

I did Corsa X pipe and ARH mid pipes. Kept NPP exhaust. Sound is deep and loud. Noticeable performance improvement too.

Corsa X-Pipe with stock on my C7Z. Did it myself and it was very straight forward and simple...4 bolts/clamps. I found that there was an annoying drone with the stock exhaust and now find much more clarity with the double helixx X-pipe.

No trouble with the fit? Any leaks?

I'm all about saving a buck if/when practical. Having said that, you can score a Borla x-pipe for around $400 if you shop for a sale. I've even seen a few lightly used ones floating around for ~$300 from time to time. I've never heard of the Manzo pipe, and for all I know, it might be a good product. But, I wouldn't skimp on a mod such as this for a difference of only ~$100. Fitment is important, and the quality of the Borla is second to none. This is just my opinion.
