Has anyone installed just the x-pipe and kept the stock exhaust? If so what was the results? The stock exhaust, the way it is just isn't loud enough. Thanks

Pretty happy with mine (Borla 60547) - adds a mean, terrifying rasp (but not import an rasp) to it - not deeper if that is what you want. It is relatively cheap for mods and you can do it yourself easily in a few hours with a ramp or jack stands.
I went a bit of a different route.
Instead of doing Corsa and or Borla I installed on my 16 Z51 w/NPP a Manzo X-Pipe. I found it on Ebay for like 260$ or so. I didn't want to spend $500+ on just an X-pipe.
Anyway, it made it definitely a bit louder both from inside and outside. I was very happy with the results.
Corsa X-Pipe with stock on my C7Z. Did it myself and it was very straight forward and simple...4 bolts/clamps. I found that there was an annoying drone with the stock exhaust and now find much more clarity with the double helixx X-pipe.

I'm all about saving a buck if/when practical. Having said that, you can score a Borla x-pipe for around $400 if you shop for a sale. I've even seen a few lightly used ones floating around for ~$300 from time to time. I've never heard of the Manzo pipe, and for all I know, it might be a good product. But, I wouldn't skimp on a mod such as this for a difference of only ~$100. Fitment is important, and the quality of the Borla is second to none. This is just my opinion.
