Default CAGS Defeat-Help

Watched the video by Southern car parts and they don't clearly show what wire or where it exactly is. I have replaced my C5-C6 & GTO without problem but there are a lot of wires leading to my M7. Anyone have a clear pic of the cags harness on the tranny. Thanks, Mike

Took some doing with my meat hooks, but managed to make the switch and leave the foil cover in place with out disturbing the zip-strip that held the wiring to the tranny!

+1 This is what I've done on my previous Corvettes (using blown smart fuse). It cost me $2.

I have been using the blown Smartfuse in my 2009 for 8 years, 102k miles now without issues

Can anyone confirm this works on a C7 as well? I have been looking for info about it without much success. Any info on which fuse?

Thanks, Sonny

Mike,

I agree, the video does NOT actually show where the device plugs into the transmission. However, as others have said, the device is located near the top on the DRIVER'S side of the transmission.

You can identify the device by locating this foil covered gizmo. Simply slide/pull the gizmo away from the transmission to get to the device. (My apologies for not using correct terms). However, see pic below regarding the foil covered gizmo.

I jacked up the rear of the car and slide under the car from the rear. For your safety, please ensure you securely position on the car on appropriate jack stands, jacks, ramps, etc.
