Default Aftermarket amp and subwoofer

Hello Everyone,
Have a 1LT 15 and I just had an aftermarket amp and subwoofer installed by a local audio shop! They are getting a constant rumble from the subwoofer which is worse when the accelerator is pressed. The shop seems to be at a loss as to what is going on! They said the noise is not associated to a bad ground. Figured I would put it out to the forum and see if anyone else had a similar experience and/or a fix. Thanks in advance!

Pull the wires going to the microphones in the door panels. The noise-canceling system doesn't work well with an a/f subwoofer.

Did you go to an audio shop or Best Buy for the install? Typically, that rumbling comes from a bad ground. A lot of shops try to use the seat rails for grounding on Corvettes because of the fiberglass shell. If you do that, you will probably get a rumble whenever you move in your chair.

The rumble is not associated to a bad ground! Although that is a issue, the systemic proble with the c7 and aftermarket amp and sub is the noise canceling system within the Bose system. The mics have been disconnected and the tapped speaker was changes to the passenger woofer speaker in the door! This is a problem for all cars that have an active noise canceling system. System works perfectly after the fix!
