Default DashControl Display Controller User Thread

Hey all. I thought it would be interesting to see what code everyone is using for their DashControl units.

If you have coded yours take a screenshot and add it below. If you're willing paste in the physical text of the code so it's easier to copy and paste.

What PIDs are people putting and in what groupings? Anyone come up with any fun/useful formulas?

Do people have a page of specific PIDs they run when drag racing, or cruising, or track racing, or hot days, or testing CAIs....etc? You get the idea.

As I have not programmed it yet I don't have much to add at this point but I know some people have done a lot of programming on this thing.

Here's the PDF instruction manual if owners are a bit confused by this thread. http://www.palmerperformance.com/dow...tion_Guide.pdf

Best,
Gene

Below is a basic example which I borrowed from user wstaab. Of course also write what the PID is for.

I'm thinking I can use Velcro and put my GoPro in front of the dash display. That way I can scroll through all the settings while running on track. Hopefully to find out why I get reduced power even without overheating.

When I installed my supercharger, before I had the tune, I set an alarm to warn me when I was getting near the limits of the 1 bar map sensor (i.e. going into boost).

This allowed me to drive to the tuners on a stock tune without issue, the only cel codes were for the missing rear o2 sensors.

Now, I monitor boost, intake temp, and knock retard. I don't have any alarms set nor other pages set from default, but I'd love to know what other people are doing and what they suggest.

Here is my complete Profile #1 that includes my compact line on Page #1 showing 4 temps, you can copy and paste this into a xml file and import it right in:

Anyone know if it's possible to reprogram the NPP control to say "stealth" and "intimidate" ?

????
Can you simplify this?
I have for my profile 1:

Page1= coolant F. - Oil F
2= iac 1. - Iac 2
3=. Trans F. - Ambient F
4=. Delivered tq - instant HP. est
5=. Short term fuel - long term fuel trim
6=. Mass air flow lb. - loop status
7=. Commanded lamba - knock retard
8=. Tq man spark retard. - spark degrees

I actually taped my GoPro to my steering colum and ran toggling through. Worked well to document.

I pasted the text the way I did so you can copy and paste this into a xml file and import it right in to the device

Oh, sorry. This is all over my head. I'm good w a timing light and a Holley dual feed, but?

My '15 Z's performance is deminished, and I am searching for why? Does my listed profile readings make sense for a snapshot of engine performance? Any recommendations? Thanks

I would say that displaying the main spark and spark retard would be your best bet to see if the power is staying constant

Where in the DIC does Dashlogic show it's info? Does it replace another OEM listing like 'info', 'performance', 'phone', etc or just add another?

Well that's well done. The Nav menu is stupid and useless anyway.

There are a lot of pixels available to use in the nav screen, would be nice if they could figure out to do a digital gauge instead of just text?

Just got mine. This thing is great. Just wish they could use more lines of text. Also wish I could disable some pages since I don't need 8 and it takes more effort to scroll through them all.

Nice and simple unit. However, tried running it concurrent with HPTuners scanner and no-go. HP won't even connect when it's plugged in. Maybe a bandwidth issue?
I was trying this to see if HP and Dashlogic see/display same numbers.

My latest discovery is I can't turn off my stereo when the dash control is plugged in. I get it to turn off (vette flags) and then it comes right back on. Pull out the dash control and the radio stays off.

I'd appreciate hearing from the DashLogic people about this. Is the bus totally crowded?

Its complicated but in a nutshell the OBDII port can only have 1 device asking questions (I.E. PIDs) at one time otherwise the data just gets garbled.
