Default LS heads on LT?

LS top end on an LT engine. I would like to do a swap using an lt1 bottom end with a small bore ls7 top end. I have these items laying around. I'm curious if anyone has utilized a delete valley cover for hi pressure fuel pump and put an LS based head and intake on the LT?

The dowels are in a different location but the heads could be machined to accept the LT dowel easy enough and I'm very confident I could run a set of injectors with the LT based PCM. Only thing I hate is the electronic oil pump. If I could do away with that I really could just run Gen IV harness/PCM and utilize my short block.

Shoot Motorhead a message. He and Florida speed abandoned DI on his car and just went with port injection. They had to do something with the HPFP and its location.

Cool tech. thread! I will keep an eye on it. I wanted to swap out the crank and rods from the LS series (I have aftermarket 4.00" stroke crank and rods laying around) to make a 415 but was told there were too many changes to the new LT1 engine to do so.
