Transmission Slip?
Situation: On a Corvette Club rallye with passenger. Rallye route was in mountainous country.
1. Engine and oil temp were at normal. Do not know trans temp at the time
2. Approximately 78 degrees ambient
3. Location New Mexico mountains @ approx 7,500 feet
4. Speed approx 55 MPH
5. Headed uphill on medium grade - about 2-3%
6. Driving Mode = Touring
Problem: Under slight acceleration, it felt like the transmission slipped for 2-3 seconds. I.e., no throttle response or acceleration. Then, downshifted with a jerk.
Dealer says this was probably a "normal hunting response," but I have never had this happen before.
Thanks in advance. Any ideas?
