Hi Guys,
I am having a problem with my 2015/2LT base automatic W/Z51 option. I am getting a feeling when driving up a slight grade where it feels as if I am running over a rumble strip, possibly the trans shuddering while changing gears, also it seems to have an intermittant misfire every couple of seconds, at first I thought it was the road I was driving on, but after a 1500 mile trip to Carlisle this weekend, I now know it was the car and definitly not the road, anyone else have these conditions and what solution if any, thanks.

Take it into the dealer may be the converter, trans, But what ever it is doing from your story here it shouldn't be doing.
Refer your dealer to PIP5337A dated Jan. 20, 2016. It discusses issues with the AFM and how it interacts with the A8. Other causes may be a faulty torque converter or the need to flush and change the transmission fluid.
You are going to need a new torque converter and while the Transmission is out of the car and your whole rear end is removed to do it have them do the stator shaft support TSB. Just include the complaint of delayed shift out of park along with the T/C complaint.
This sounds exactly like mine, which had the TC replaced. To verify, put the vehicle in manual mode when you are experiencing the issue. If it doesn't happen in manual mode, it's the Torque Converter. Dealer will take for a drive. In my instance, they came back almost immediately with diagnosis verified. Make sure the dealer you go to has done these before. It takes a week ( 3 long days ) and entire rear of car comes off (tires, suspension, differential, tranny & torque tube). FY - mine started occurring at around 7,500 mi.
