Chrome barrel paint code
My 16 Z51 chrome wheel barrels, that are grey, are chipping. I Need to know color code of the grey barrels. Anybody else having this problem? I posted this in the general area but no response. I can't believe i am the only one needing to paint these.

Strip the hard to keep clean flat grey painted barrels and you will find easy to keep clean machined surface with flash chrome on the surface. I did my Z51 wheels, looks so much better and do not forget to do the edge that is easily seen .

Good old aircraft strength paint stripper, (will need a quart) just keep brushing a layer on until the paint and stripper gets like syrup, rag it off, super fine steel wool and lacquer thinner. Clean up when dry with clean steel wool, polish/wax and your done. Get some strong rubber gloves, its a dirty smelly job, do it in fresh air.
