Default Racing a 800 mile Corvette

Will I do any damage if I drag race my 2017 Z51 A8
with 800 Miles on it? I know the display does not change
until 1500 Break In. IT HAS FIRST Oil Change done at 500
Miles.

Why not wait until the 1500 mile break in? I could have driven half the remaining miles since you posted...

If it's not broken-in now, never will be. Put the 15-50 oil in as GM recommends for track use and have fun...life's too short!

Drag racing as in a 1/4 mile run? Go to town. The 1500 mile break in is for road course use.

Drag racing doesn't put anywhere near as much heat load on the engine as a 20 minute session on a road course does. 10 to 15 seconds of wide open throttle will barely tickle the temp gauge.

^^Agree and I wouldn't be putting 15-50 in it just to drag race...
