Default New aFe intake fit issues

Anyone have issues with their aFe not sealing very well? It seems to fit the the TB and Filter well but it does not seem to seal to the housing. I cannot get the lg clamp seal.

It shouldn't need much torque to form a seal. Make sure you're not over-torquing the clamp, and make sure the housing and filter clamping surfaces are dry and clean (sometimes wiping them with a little degreaser like Simple Green helps).

The outer housing around the filter should only see negative pressure, so it doesnt need to be air tight. I'd imagine it's just going to keep sucking itself onto the box which is why it's not a really tight seal there. Worst case any air that gets between the box and the filter is still going to get filtered.
