2016 non z51. Does this car have a launch mode? I tried competitive mode and it just roasts the tires.. tried track mode and just matted the gas and it was better

If it's an auto, go into track mode then push the center button in the middle of the mode selector twice. that will put you in competitive mode. then press the brake holding down pedal HARD. Then go full throttle FAST. The RPMS should hold around 2200.. Then quickly lift the brake pedal and you launch!
if it's a manual do the same thing but replace holding the brake with pressing down the clutch.the RPMS will hold around 4000, drop the clutch and you're off!

Its a auto. I must try again. I went thru those steps but I guess I didn't hold brake or press gas quick enough. Can't wait to get it down. Loving this car!! Thanks for responding!

I have a A6 automatic. how long can you hold on launch control with the pedal floored ? on the track waiting for the other guy to stage plus a full tree seams like a long time ?

i wish I could answer that. I am still unable to get it to work. I've tried like 6 times. It just like line locks the car and roasts the tires. Gonna kill the tires trying to figure it out. Lol

You set the launch control into motion right after you stage if the other car is already staged, otherwise if you stage first, watch the other car trip the 2nd stage light and now step on the brake hard and mash the gas. Release brake on the last yellow.

Most likely not going full throttle fast enough.

I've held it over 30 seconds with no issue

It is rather trickey------You must have the front wheels pointed dead straight 1st of all
1. turn the round **** in the center consul to "track mode"
2 . press the button on the center consul twice until it says TC off and co and smpetitive driving mode"
3 press the center button 1 more time-------and you will be in launch mode
best for drag racing---press and hold the brake hard and floor the throttle---It will rev to about 1800 to 2200---- When ready yo launch---keep your throttle floored and simply release OFF the brake pedal as quickly as you can
I have had the best ET results by leaving the shifter in "drive" I tried paddle shifting on a drag race and it always showed a slower ET ----No one can shift your trans more perfectly than the stock trams computer-------trust me

Apparently I missed a step. I got to competitive driving mode and then trying it. I wasn't hitting the button again once in competitive mode. Does it say launch mode on the dash once you hit the button while in competitive mode?
Thanks

NO it does not say launch mode----- But if the TC light and the stabilitrac light goes off after you press it that one more time it IS is launch mode Also you will be able to tell by holding the brake pedal hard and when flooring the throttle the RPM's only will go to about 1800-2200 RPM's This is the launch mode----
When you lift off the brake pedal the car will launch without spinning---maybe just a bark right off the start---then gradually increase RPM's and shift up thru the gears
