It's kind of relative but yes, it will prevent small ones. Larger stones/debris no. I've run without it for approx 100 miles on roads where I know I should have had it on. After the drive I noticed two very small paint chips from tiny rocks that are visible if you look hard (I'm **** about paint on the front end), but not through the color. If I had my NoviStretch on I'm positive they would not have happened.
