Default Stiffer suspension

I have a 2016 C7 1LT and compete in Autocross events. The base suspension is soft and has considerable body roll while racing. I compete in the Super Street class and have the ability to upgrade the shocks and front sway as long as the height dimensions remain the same. I am looking to eliminate body roll as much as possible as the car is mostly for Autocross. A Corvette should not feel like a Cadillac. Anyone have suggestions?

Maybe trade your 16 Stingray in for a 17 Grand Sport? Or a Z51?

Install the Grand Sport anti-roll bars, Z51 shocks (non mag ride, or Bilstein Sports), and Z51 springs.

Thank you for the response. Is there a stiffer option for springs than the standard Z51?

look up the spring rate thread. By getting the base c7 you got the old guy vette. Your springs are really soft and you do not even have a rear bar. If you follow the rules, you are done. If on the other hand you are just racing local, you have some options. Replace your springs with some z06-07 springs and bars....then get same Koni dampers and a alignment.....but you did not hear it from me. I was never here and people only autoX stock cars in the stock classes....

I just installed mine 2 days ago. I am loving it. I can't wait until my next HPDE, but just driving around town, and on the interstate, it has totally changed the car from the stock controller. For those wth mag ride, this is something that should be considered.

Before you do anything, get a rule book (or download the rules), unless you don't care if your car is legal or not. Even if you don't care, if you start getting good, other people may care.

Then get get a book on how to prepare a car for handling.

I think you are running in SCCA, right? Last time I looked, you can change only one sway bar, and most people would do the front. I like adjustable sway bars if you can find one.

Shocks are probably the the first place to start. Koni Sports are popular and are adjustable also, so you can fine tune your handling after you read your handling book to learn what adjustments you need to make. You can also ask other competitors, but their advice may or may not be good, depending on how much of a threat you are perceived to be.

Alignment will I'll require some trial and error with what the factory recommends probably a good baseline.

Have fun!
