I've really enjoyed watching all the excellent MGW short throw shifter install vids. I'd know it's 'easy' but I still would feel more comfortable having someone who's installed them previously. on to my point. does anyone know a great installer in the Palm Beach or Broward area to install the MGW Shifter?
thanks

No insult intended, and I don't mean for this to sound condescending...
Can you paint a wall? This ain't that much harder, especially if you have a laptop you can take out to the car to watch/replay the tutorials as you do the install yourself. (A laptop would be better because the picture would be larger.) They list the tools you'll need, and there's really nothing complex about the job. All the fine points are covered in the YouTubes.
Is your car stored at night in a private covered area? Maybe you can start another thread in all the relevant "General" forums listing your location and ask if a couple Corvette owners (c7, c6, and c5 forums**) who've done the install would be willing to volunteer as backup if you get stuck. If you can paint a wall, you shouldn't have trouble following the YouTube directions. It really is that easy. (and if you have trouble, there's always this forum [if you can afford the down-time])
Good luck.
**the MGW shift kit install is *very* similar from generation to generation. I don't remember my c5 being much different from the c7.
Really--you'll be paying someone to follow directions if you hire it out to a "great installer". Most of them have never done an MGW because they're DIY projects... that may be an exaggeration, but I bet it's close to accurate.
You two should give it a shot really. My limits use to be oil change, brakes, brake fluid. That was before I decided to install my super charger and meth kit over a weekend. At the end of the day it's nuts and bolts.
